A Woman & Her God

Our soul is the “hidden person of the heart” (1 Pet. 3:4, NASB). It is that inner dimension that we often keep a secret from others. It is also a place where we often cannot see ourselves clearly. God desires that we attend to our own souls. It is important that time is made available for this. We need to actively and deliberately schedule this into our day.

Jesus is our example and how often we read of Him removing Himself from the daily routine of life and spending time connecting with His Father. This is what the Holy Spirit is drawing us to do as well; to remove ourselves from the mundane chores of our life (or busy ministry schedules) and to take time to connect deeply with Christ where we surrender our souls to His care. The health of our soul does matter.
