Real Women. Real God. Real World.
Welcome to the official site of Maria Egilsson.
Maria Egilsson has a passion for women to see themselves as God sees them, to discover and pursue their God given destinies. Self-described as a continuous “work in progress", Maria has learned how to find deep satisfaction in the word of God. The purpose of this site is to provide resources (through speaking and/or training workshops) for Christian women in order to facilitate spiritual growth.
"Am I allowing my natural life to be slowly transfigured by the indwelling life of the Son of God? God's ultimate purpose is that His Son might be manifested in my mortal flesh." Oswald Chamber
Neither your life nor mine is a random series of events. God is the Author of our life. Yet in the mundane moments it is easy to forget that he writes each person’s life with a purpose. Interwoven threads create a plot that unfolds on the pages of our life. What our life should reveal is the divine story of amazing grace.
We have a story to tell but to find our story we have to read backwards. You and I need to take the time to review past events-finding their meaning with the gift of time and hindsight.
We can become entrapped in our own small world where we focus on the surface things of life. God will use the force of a waterfall to catch our attention.
Life will come to a standstill as God carves out pieces of time where you and I need to attend to our souls. It is in these silent places of solitude that we began to read the themes that God has written into your story and mine.
We begin to revisit scenes and circumstances that we thought were empty of his touch. Looking back it is clearer to see his fingerprints on the chapters of our life. With fresh insight and knowledge our stories are rewritten and retold.
We now can see His transforming power at work in those chaotic seasons of our life where crashing waves pummelled and pounded against us.
Redemptive grace becomes our theme for the next chapter that is written as we learn to see the woundedness of our life as a treasured gift because it is that which draws our soul into the very depths of God.
